Be Original

At some point in your life as a student during school or when you must have graduated from school, you may start having this feeling of being (a little bit) frustrated. You notice that everything you are doing or everything you represent is actually someone’s idea. You start hating the idea of imitating others because you have realized that imitation is bad.

You will start seeking originality because at this point, you might have finally discovered for yourself that it is originality that can separate you from all men.

Congratulations if you have finally made it to this point. Now, I am going to offer you a little push with hope that you might seek and be glad that you are now seeking originality.

I am going to give you now some of the reasons why I say that becoming original is one of the best things that will ever happen to you.

It makes you unique

Oh yes. It is one of the ways of separating yourself from the herd.
Originality brings about uniqueness. Your originality will speak for itself. People will recognize it in you when they see it.

And they will like you for it. Remember, we just said that imitation is dangerous because when you imitate, you can only pass as a photocopy and you and I know that no photocopy can be as real as the original.

One other thing I have noticed with people is that we all seem to hate those who front i.e. people who want us to believe they are what we know or feel they are not.

You can now see why people are always advised to be themselves?

It gives you a purpose in life

Originality gives your life a sense of purpose or direction. This is usually because you already know what you want to become in life after you must have discovered your true self.

And you can only make such a discovery if you have earlier on taken up the long and solo journey into self discovery which can only be happen immediately you start making the conscious effort to become original.

The good news is that once you define your purpose in life, you will stand a better chance of feeling fulfilled and appreciate those little steps you have made and will still make towards achieving you goals in life.

It inspires others

This is so true. Why do you think people flock around their stars, their idols? It is simply because those guys and ladies inspire them.

They make it possible for you to see that indeed you can become whatever you want or wish to become in this life.

They tell you the stories of their lives and the struggles they have gone through towards achieving that famous status that people adore them for. Granted, some people often misconstrue this adulation and love for their favorite stars being wanting to become that same star by doing whatever this star is doing or has done.

But it doesn't have to be that way. Your stars are supposed to inspire you into becoming what you are well adapted to become. Remember, no photocopy can be as good as the original.

It brings out the creativity in you

Your originality will definitely push you to become creative. You will become interested in finding new ways or recreating yourself and making your statement.

You will become an inventor, an initiator, an innovator, or a legend when you create your own style.

Of course, your creativity will even give you more power to accomplish so many other things in other aspects of your life effortlessly or seamlessly in a manner that will bring you so many adulation from your increasing number of fans.

It allows you to do what you are best suited for

Yes. Being original makes it very possible for you to do what you are naturally best adapted for in life.

Your originality will force you to discover all your hidden talents with which you will transform yourself into a better and greater person.

We all cannot be musicians, writers, and other professionals but there is one thing we all can be or do and that is being the best in whatever we are naturally best suited or adapted for.

It attracts people to you

That is one thing being original will definitely do for you. Many people will be attracted to you. They will want to imitate you. They will want to know what makes you so different and how you do the things you do.

In the end, you become a kind of demigod in their sight because so many people are conformists and insecure and when they experience the pure originality emanating from you, they will admire you because you are able to do something they might not be able to do.

So be original. Be real.
